Job Summary:
As the Russian invasion expands in Ukraine, the United Nations (UN) estimates that more than four million Ukrainians will be forced to flee the country if there is no cessation of the invasion. Already an estimated 84,000 refugees have crossed into Moldova, with about half moving on to other countries in the EU and the other half settling in Moldova. Caritas Moldova is responding to the refugee crisis, working to serve conflict-affected Ukrainians in Moldova.

As the Project Coordinator, you will work closely with a counterpart Project Manager to manage Caritas Moldova’s Programmes conflict-affected refugees. You will coordinate a team and coordinate implementation activities.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure communication with project partners and compliance with contractual obligations from partnership agreements.
- Prepare and manage action plans for the project and coordinate project activities
- Manage project budget and other human and materials resources, beneficiaries and funders.
- Monitor progress achieved towards the proposed objectives and draft reports to donors, partners, and beneficiaries


Basic Qualifications
- University degree required.
- 2 years of work experience, including experience in the NGO sector
- Driver’s License and ability to drive required

Required Languages – Written and spoken proficiency in Russian, Romanian and English required.

Travel – Must be willing and able to travel within Moldova, including to border areas, up to 75%.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with community members and other stakeholders
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Analytical thinker with good organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge and observance of moral and ethical norms, as well as professional ethics
- Ability to write clearly and coherently
