Action against Hunger is hiring a Cash Assistant



Action against Hunger is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for Action against Hunger in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: nutrition, health, food security and water and sanitation.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

The Cash Assistant will assist in monitoring the quality of the provision of Food Security (cash) assistance. S/he will be required to maintain strong relations with other units within AAH Moldova as well as operational partners and contractors working with AAH Moldova on the delivery of FS (Cash) assistance to beneficiaries. 

 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Implementation of activities

  • Perform specialized and/or standardized processes and activities within the specific technical area of work supporting alignment with wider program policies and guidelines
  • Assist in monitoring the implementation of the AAH Moldova cash assistance program including the delivery of all assistance item, completion of home visits, etc.

Compliance

  • Export and manage data related to the assistance delivery.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting as required.

Beneficiaries’ management

  • Receive queries from internal AAH Spain units and external agencies related to the assistance delivery and provide feedback and follow up as necessary.
  • Ensure proper filing and record keeping.
  • Liaise with assistance beneficiaries and partners.

Monitoring

  • Coordinate data collection with relevant partners and contractors.
  • The postholder will be expected to adhere to the terms of the Action Against Hunger International Code of Conduct and associated policies, as a condition of their employment.
  • The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties as reasonably required

PROFILE

  • Bacehlor degree. Desirable, studies in community development in social needs, humanitarian aid or similar.
  • Knowledge of socio-economic variables to be considered in the design and implementation of cash transfer programs is desirable
  • Experience in the implementation of cash transfer programs and projects would be desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Sensitivity and humanitarian vocation.
  • Committed to confidentiality.
  • High flexibility and change management skills
  • Required; English and Romanian - Russian is advantage
  • Proficient in Windows; advanced Microsoft Office skills essential; knowledge of ICT tools and openness to their innovative use.
  • National with frequent travel to different project sites across the country.
