Moldova Agricultural Competitiveness Project (MACP)

Assignment Title: Part C component coordinator

Moldova has received an Additional Financing (AF) from the International Development Association in the amount of US$ 3.105 million for the Moldova Agriculture Competitiveness Project (MAC-P). The AF will be used for scaling up project activities under Component Part C: Enhancing land productivity through sustainable land management aimed at enhancing land productivity through mainstreaming innovative sustainable land management practices and technologies, and rehabilitation of anti-erosion shelterbelts.

The objective of the consultancy is to provide assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and Ministry of Environment related to the management and implementation of Part C of the project, as well as coordination of activities, related to preparation of Agriculture Governance, Growth and Resilience Investment Project, expected to be financed by the World Bank.

The consultant will provide his/her services on a full-time basis, starting from September 2022. The duration of assignment is until December 31, 2024

Consolidated Agricultural Projects’ Management Unit (CAPMU) now invites local individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.

The Consultant to be selected shall have the following qualifications:

• University degree in environment, agriculture, management or another relevant field;
• General working experience of at least 10 years;
• Experience in project management and/or coordination in agriculture/environmental area;
• Experience in work with public authorities and international donors;
• Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation would be an advantage;
• Excellent command of English (both written and oral), fluency in Romanian;
• High computer skills (MS environment).

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, Revised November 2017, and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Individual Consultants will be selected in accordance with the „Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants” method set out in the above-mentioned “Procurement Regulations”.

Expressions of interest must include updated CV reflecting consultant’s qualification and experience, recommendation letters, if any, and must be submitted by email to the address below by August 29, 2022, cob.
