Charity Centre for Refugees NGO is hiring Legal Counsellor to provide legal assistance to refugees and asylum seekers

The Public Association „Charity Centre for Refugees” (CCR) is hiring a Legal Counsellor to provide legal assistance to refugees and asylum seekers within the project „ Ukraine emergency response – relief assistance to refugees and vocational empowerment of refugee women” (the Project).

Work regime: fulltime.

Specific tasks:

• to identify, reach, track and keep contact with refugees in need, in different places (e.g. refugee accommodation centres, locally and regionally);
• to provide legal counselling to refugees and asylum seekers (beneficiaries) according to their needs;
• to establish and develop collaborative relationship with local authorities, refugee accommodation centres’ administrators, and other managing actors involved in assisting the refugees and asylum seekers;
• to supervise and monitor the correct implementation of the assistance to the beneficiaries;
• to participate at all phases of the Project implementation, to ensure the due diligence and compliance;
• to collect, track and report data related to services offered according to the planned indicators;
• to work with management of the organisation to promote a culture of high ethical standards and compliance of the assistance for the beneficiaries.

Qualifications:

• higher education in the legal and/or economic field;
• good knowledge of the Law of the Republic of Moldova related to the working domain (the Law on Asylum, the Law on Foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, the Law on Integration of Foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, the Law on Public Associations, etc.);
• good written and oral communication skills;
• ability to work efficiently and accurately;
• ability to work both in team and independently;
• organizational skills;
• availability to travel within the country.

Experience:

Experience in legal field, preferably in an international organization, national agency, non-governmental organization/think-tank, or private sector.

Language skills:

Russian, Romanian, English
