Trainer Learning & Development at Safeguard Global

As part of the HR Team this role is responsible for scheduling, conducting and evolving job-specific and other related training for new Guardians to ensure a consistent process delivery and improve time to productivity.

The SGU Trainer may also deliver re-training and process updates to existing team members. This role will work closely with the managers to assess departmental needs and continually improve the training.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training sessions with new and existing Guardian employees including, but not limited to, job-specific operational and implementation functions, technical processes, software use, payroll compliance, and on boarding activities
  • Liaise with HR recruiting to schedule training for new joiners
  • Deliver refresher training as needed to enhance in job performance for existing Guardian employees
  • Deliver Safeguard University Induction sessions and guide on boarding for new starters
  • Measure and ensure training effectiveness through lab activities and assessments
  • Track ongoing training of students against required training activities, feedback to line managers
  • Receive, review, and action training feedback
  • Interact frequently with operational managers and Subject Matter Experts to continually evaluate departmental needs and training needs and effectiveness
  • Continually assess and improve training content and curriculum under guidance of Safeguard University Leader
  • Develop training materials and job aids in accordance with business standards, toolsets, and procedures
  • Work with Instructional designers/ Subject Matter Experts on creation of new training content and existing training reviews
  • Liaise with HR recruiting to schedule training for new joiners
  • Perform Safeguard University Track Reviews and feedback to the line manager
  • Champion the value of Safeguard training resources, such as SkillSoft
  • Act as a role model for new and existing Guardian employees and demonstrate the Safeguard value

Requirements:

  • Previous training experience as a corporate trainer or related position is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, human resources or related field
  • Must have strong customer service skills to apply Safeguard Global’s service culture
  • Desirable to have minimum 2 years multi-national payroll implementation experience and, or and service centre experience
  • Knowledge and experience of payroll processing controls and standards
  • Desirable minimum 1 year experience in multi-national shared service environment
  • High level of English (both written and spoken) primary language essential
  • Spanish/German language skills are desirable
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are mandatory as well
  • Strong public speaking skills and ability to speak front of the public
  • Strong organizational skills and experienced at managing and scheduling multiple tasks and projects
  • Can drive understanding (to recognize when a group or individual is lost and needs more attention)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment subject to strict deadlines
  • Ability to gather data, compiles information, and prepares reports
