Project Assistant for the Strategic Communication and Support to Mass Media Project




The Project Assistant will assist the Team Leader, the Key Expert 2, and other members of the team in conducting, documenting, and reporting on all project activities. In addition, s/he acts as DigiTool Focal Point and participates in general coordination activities with other EU-funded projects.

Key tasks

·        Offer support to the StratCom team to implement internal and external communications strategies and projects.

·        Providing administrative support to internal teams for the organization of communication activities and events in Chisinau and in the regions.

·        Preparing presentations and reports.

·        Drafting and editing communications materials, proof reading and track changes to final product.

·        Drafting and posting social media and web content

·        Liaison with EU –funded projects to create project profiles in the EU web platforms

·        Tracking projects and update information in the EU web platforms.

·        Regularly monitor EU web platforms and update as necessary.

·        Offer administrative support to the StratCom Team in tracking materials production according to deadlines.

·        Support StratCom Team in maintaining a collection of photos, graphics, icons, infographics, databites video clips to use in various digital content.

·        Files and maintains project documentation, including of communication materials and other outputs of the project

·        Provides written translations English-Romanian-Russian and vice versa of short communication materials

·        Provides general logistics support

·        Undertakes other duties consistent with this role that may be assigned by the Team Leader


To the Team Leader


Reports; Contacts Data bases; Tables of outputs and indicators;


·        Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field. At least five years of general professional experience;

·        Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (Romanian, English, Russian);

·        An understanding of social media strategies and media relations;

·        At least 3 years of specific professional experience working in EU-funded projects and / or international organizations;

·        General knowledge / familiarity with EU assistance and projects in Moldova;

·        Above average knowledge of various social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook;

·        Facility with content management systems (WordPress) will be an asset;

·        Excellence in all MS Office Applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint;

·        Familiarity with corporate communication principles, requirements, and rules;

·        Solid experience in drafting and filing communications materials and business correspondence in Romanian and English;

·        Solid experience in drafting and editing reports in Romanian and English.
