DESCRIPTION: Local Engineering Services to support Installation of a Battery Energy Storage System and Internal Combustion Engines in Moldova, 2024 -2026
The Moldova Energy Security Activity (MESA) funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Tetra Tech ES, Inc. is working to strengthen Moldova’s energy security by: (1) advancing physical and market integration of the Moldovan energy sector with Europe; (2) increasing renewable energy integration; and (3) increasing investment in energy efficiency and domestic power generation, particularly through increased adoption of renewable energy technologies.
Tetra Tech ES, Inc. intends to procure an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor to design, install, and commission Battery Energy Supply Systems (BESS) plant and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) power generation assets at locations to be determined in Moldova.
The intent of this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) is to develop a prequalified list of local engineering firms that may be referred to Tetra Tech’s EPC contractor either bidding or delivering works, as well as services to Tetra Tech ES, subject to any conflict of interests.
Local engineering companies currently providing professional services in Moldova with the following qualifications are encouraged to respond:
- Soil investigations and materials testing services
- Topographic surveying and geodetic mapping including environmental impact assessment
- Hybrid architectural design
- Civil engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Plumbing engineering (Gas and Water)
The anticipated performance period is August 2024 through September 2026.
