The Moldova Future Technologies Activity is a program funded by USAID and Sweden and implemented by Chemonics International in Moldova. The goal of the Future Technologies Activity is to enhance the competitiveness of Moldovan transformative sectors, including light manufacturing, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), precision engineering, creative industries, and digital media production, and to improve the country’s integration with Western markets in these sectors.

As part of project activities, the Moldova Future Technologies Activity requires the purchase of specialized equipment to develop access control, security, and video monitoring systems within the newly renovated Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer (NORTEK), located within the State University “Alecu Russo” in Balti. The purpose of this RFQ is to solicit quotations for these items.

Offer Deadline and Protocol: Offers must be received no later than 17.00 local Chisinau time on May 4, 2022 by email to ftaprocurement@chemonics.md.

Site Visit: The Offerors can request a site visit to assess the building location and building condition in order to inform the configuration of the proposed security system. Requests for the site visit shall be sent by email to ftaprocurement@chemonics.md by April 19, 2022.Any questions asked during the site visit and answers provided will be documented in writing and shared with all offerors. Subsequent questions following the site visit may be submitted by April 27, 2022. Chemonics will not cover any travel costs related to the offerors’ site visit.

Questions: Questions regarding the technical or administrative requirements of this RFQ may be submitted no later than 17.00 local Chisinau time on April 27, 2022 by email to ftaprocurement@chemonics.md. Questions must be submitted in writing; phone calls will not be accepted. Questions and requests for clarification—and the responses thereto—that Chemonics believes may be of interest to other offerors will be circulated to all RFQ recipients who have indicated an interest in bidding.

Only the written answers issued by Chemonics will be considered official and carry weight in the RFQ process and subsequent evaluation. Any verbal information received from employees of Chemonics or any other entity should not be considered as an official response to any questions regarding this RFQ.
