UNICEF Moldova invites interested companies to submit their offers for Renovation of roof, facades, heating system and sanitary blocks at “Prichindel” kindergarten, Cahul, Moldova.

Under the EU4MOLDOVA: Focal regions Programme, funded by the EU, UNICEF Moldova is supporting the Cahul Municipality. Cahul municipality has 8 early childhood development (ECD) institutions, with a total of 1502 children aged 3-6(7) years old, out of which 50 of Roma ethnicity and 10 with disabilities.  According to the number of children and the growing demand for enrollment, kindergarten No.8 “Prichindel” is the second on the list of most popular early childhood institutions in the city, with a total number of 320 children aged 1,5 – 7 years old. This is explained by its convenient location allowing parents to easily drop-off and pick-up their children when commuting for work. No. 8 “Prichindel” was founded in 1984 and is located in the central area of the city, with a total surface of 3,500 m2, two levels, and 14 groups (music room, sports hall, food block, methodical center, medical point, food products storage, laundry room, storage for materials of household use). Since the establishment of the institution, no capital repairs were carried out to the building. Respectively, there are specific and urgent works required to be performed. To that aim, UNICEF Moldova will contract a company to renovate the roof, facades, heating system and sanitary blocks of the “Prichindel” kindergarten as detailed in the Terms of Reference (ToR) enclosed in the RFP.

Submission deadline is on 17 December 2020, 11:00. Offers received after the deadline will be rejected.

An online pre-bid conference will be organized on 10 December 2020, from 11:00 to 12:30 (invitation link).

A mandatory site visit was scheduled for 7 December 2020. The bidders will make own transport arrangements. The institution will not accept visit requests on other dates. Please express your interest to visit the site at rbradescu@unicef.org. Please note that offers will be accepted only from bidders which have visited the work site on the scheduled date.
