Join the Eastern Europe Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC)-funded and SDD-led Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub Eastern Europe (RSH EE) supports organisations and individuals responding to the Ukrainian crisis with practical and accessible online resources and guidance to strengthen their safeguarding policy and practice against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH).

We are in the process of developing a roster of consultants to support delivery of this programme and are seeking individuals with safeguarding expertise in Romania, Poland, Moldova and Ukraine, who are either based in those countries or who have significant experience in those countries, to help us fulfil this offer.

By joining our network you'll be able to advertise your expertise as well as reach Civil Society Organisations and individuals to ensure that they do no harm as we all work together to respond to the crisis.

The program

The Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub for Eastern Europe serves organisations and people responding to the war in Ukraine. It provides practical and accessible safeguarding resources aiming to reduce the risk of harm. (Safeguarding broadly means preventing harm to people – and the environment – in the delivery of development and humanitarian assistance.)

Our main offer is an online platform that brings together high-quality guidance, tools, and research on safeguarding.

Join our directory

We also signpost users towards service providers who can support organisations to improve their approach to safeguarding. Your expertise will be advertised on our online platform amongst other quality assured safeguarding advisors from the region who can be contacted by Civil Society Organisations for support in building and strengthening their policies and procedures.

We are looking for individuals to be featured who:

  • Have expertise in safeguarding; this could be related to child safeguarding, gender based violence, protection against sexual exploitation and abuse, developing internal safeguarding policies for organisations, or case management.
  • Have an understanding of the context in Eastern Europe.
  • Have a strong grasp of Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian or Polish.

(Please note that this is not a paid opportunity and that the aim of the directory is to act as a platform that features a range of support services delivered by organisations and individuals that can be approached by Civil Society Organisations for support with their safeguarding practices.)
