Zero Discrimination Pictures and Drawings | Contest

On March 1, the world celebrates Zero Discrimination Day and the right of everyone to live a full and productive life and live it with dignity. This special day highlights the importance of inclusion, compassion, peace. On this occasion America House Chisinau decided to reflect Zero Discrimination through art.

We are inviting 14+ students to participate in the Zero Discrimination Pictures and Drawings Contest.

To participate in the contest:

✅️Interested students will draw / paint / create an artistic work on the theme of Zero Discrimination, to promote inclusion, compassion, peace above all.

✅All works will be photographed, scanned, and sent to the email address americahouse.communication@gmail.com  by March 19.

✅ To each of the works please add a short description (no longer than 150 words), explaining the thoughts behind your work.

✅ Indicate participant's first and last name, age, school/college, and age. In the subject line please write Zero Discrimination Pictures and Drawings Contest.

✅The works received will be posted on our Facebook page and on the website www.americahouse.md in a virtual exhibition, in order to be admired by the general public.

📌The purpose of the contest is:

🔹️Informing people about the importance of nondiscrimination;

🔹️Promote inclusion, compassion, peace and, above all;

🔹️Highlighting the urgent need to take action to end the inequalities surrounding income, sex, age, health status, occupation, disability, sexual orientation, drug use, gender identity, race, class, ethnicity, and religion;

🔹️Raising awareness of the dangers of radical and extremist movements, and eradicating all the racism;

🔹️Raising awareness of the presence of contemporary forms of anti-Semitism, xenophobia, and other manifestations of hatred;

🔹️Promoting respect for human rights, especially of national minority groups;

🔹️Increasing critical thinking and intellectual curiosity and increasing the sense of personal responsibility as a democratic citizen.
