WORK HOURS: Full-Time (40 hours a week)
SALARY: $3.00 USD per hour
The Chisinau Embassy Employee Association (CEEA), located within the U.S. Embassy, is looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset and the experience to serve as the Manager. This is not a U.S. government position.
About the position
The Manager provides general management and administration of the association and reports to the CEEA Board. In this capacity, the Manager will manage the following areas:
- Business Operations & Financial Performance –knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems, cost/trend analysis, accounts/budgeting, annual audits, and payroll.
- Store & Service Management –oversee product ordering/delivery, arrange inventory for sale, create partnerships with vendors, manage CEEA membership and benefits, and organize promotions and events.
- Member Services & Communication – provide high-quality customer; respond to member inquiries; draft vendor communications and marketing materials.
Desired Qualifications
- College degree or relevant work experience, ideally with international customers.
- Strong critical and creative thinking skills, with the ability to introduce and activate new ideas.
- Strong customer service skills both in-person and on-line.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience with accounting / POS software preferred.
- Level 3/B2 (upper intermediate) speaking, reading, and writing English is required. Level 4/C1-C2 (fluent) Romanian or Russian are required.
- Successfully pass a security background check.
- The candidate should be able to start work December 5, 2022.
Benefits and compensation
- The role is full-time (40 hours per week); compensation will be paid every 2 weeks based on the hours worked.
- Upon completing the probationary period, the employee is entitled to three weeks (15 working days) of paid vacation, as well as 5 paid sick days per calendar year.
- Benefits are not covered related to health, 401k, life insurance, wellness compensation.
- CEEA is a diplomatic entity, therefore taxes are not taken out automatically, and the employee is responsible e for the filing taxes in Moldova.
