Scope of Services

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), intends to pre-qualify a group of organizations in a timely manner, and potentially solicit proposals from them shortly thereafter.

The services/outputs being sourced are:

The Service Provider will support FAO Moldova to elaborate and apply integrated gender-sensitive approach to climate-smart agriculture (CSA) to achieve land degradation neutrality in Orhei and Rezina districts, at the intersection of the Nistru-Coghilnic interfluves on 92,000 ha area in the Republic of Moldova. In order to ensure the sustainability of CSA practices, special attention will be given to the involvement and empowerment of women and young women in this area in the establishment of women cooperatives and agricultural enterprises and by means of sharing success stories during women to women visits. This action will improve women’s abilities in climate resilient practices, resulting in the enhancement of land productivity and increase of crop production.

The Parties acknowledge that no amendments may be made to the LoA to permit activities that fall outside the purpose of the LoA.  

Outputs:   

The Service Provider shall deliver the following outputs:

Output 1. A capacity building package based on the challenges and opportunities for creating women cooperatives is delivered.

Output 2. Young women are trained on entrepreneurship, business management and basic accounting.

Output 3. Women’s entrepreneurship is supported through  knowledge-sharing women-to-women visits and trainings on CSA practices.

The submission deadline is 05 March 2024, 13:00hrs, Budapest time.
