Responsibilities:
o Assist in the preparation of the work plan and activity implementation schedules
o Assist in the completion of the movement for the cars on a weekly basis
o Supervise the Transport assistant
o Assist the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in resolving any unforeseen problems during project implementation.
o Respond to special transportation requests
o Ensure that at all times, contact with beneficiaries is conducted in a sensitive and respectful manner.
o Identify opportunities for collaboration and coordination with other organizations to ensure that our activities build on, rather than duplicate, the work of others.
o Evaluate activities undertaken and monitor the effective use of resources;
o Maintain good coordination with transportation suppliers and always check with these superiors for additional transportation orders
o Conduct regular field visits to provide technical advice and supervision and to regularly monitor the progress of activities.
o Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to the Project Manager and other team members.
o Escalate important information from the field to the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager to ensure good communication
o Support the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in the preparation of progress and final reports, ensuring the quality and accuracy of technical information related to activities.
o Complete and maintain bus tracking documents to ensure data collection and financial management of projects.
o Attend meetings and training of assistants
o Attend weekly planning meetings
o Remain vigilant and available in case of urgent need at the borders to deploy and assist the beneficiaries
o Report and communicate in case of concerns regarding the transportation of beneficiaries.
o Take the decision in coordination with the Senior project officer when there is request on the emergency phone at the border
Qualifications:
o Qualified candidates must have:
o High school graduation.
o Good English language.
o Goodcomputer knowledge.
o Experience in any NGOs or Governmental offices in this field. (it’s welcoming)
o Languages to speak: Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian and English
Tasks may change according to needs and activities
Are considered as heavy faults :
o Failure to comply with the above descriptions;
o Keeping sensitive information secret
o Not following the processes and safety rules related to the emergency context
o Being drank while on duty or under the influence of narcotics or alcool
o Sleeping on duty, unjustified absences
o Partial or poor performance of assigned duties. Unwillingness; Lack of cooperation with others; Lack of motivation or application to work ;
o Use of any ACTED merchandise or equipment for personal use; Misappropriation or theft of materials will result in immediate dismissal
