
Duties:
Serves as the senior subject matter expert for INL (International Narcotics and Law Enforcement) foreign assistance programs and projects focused on law enforcement and border security capacity building. Provides program and project leadership and management for multi-year projects in support of key bilateral efforts to modernize and enhance host nation capabilities. Advises leadership on INL policies and goals vis-à-vis the host government priorities at the national and local level.

FOR THE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS APPLICANTS MUST MEET EITHER OPTION 1 OR 2 TO QUALIFY.
Option 1:
EXPERIENCE: At least five years of increasingly responsible work experience managing programs in the areas of law enforcement and/or border security, management of international assistance or public policy programs in host government, international organizations, or related fields is required. At least one year of supervisory responsibility, which entails directing, monitoring, and re-directing actions of subordinates or non-subordinates (i.e., team leadership), is required.
EDUCATION: University Bachelor’s degree in international relations, criminal justice or law enforcement, business administration, public policy, law, or host country equivalents.
Option 2:
EXPERIENCE: At least seven years of increasingly responsible work experience managing programs in the areas of law enforcement and/or border security, management of international assistance or public policy programs in host government, international organizations, or related fields is required. At least one year of supervisory responsibility, which entails directing, monitoring, and re-directing actions of subordinates or non-subordinates (i.e., team leadership), is required.
EDUCATION: At least 2 years of college or university studies (no specific field required).

LANGUAGE: Level 4 (Fluency) in written and spoken English, Romanian and Russian, including the ability to translate. This will be tested.
