Background
People in Need (PIN) is a Czech non-governmental organization that provides relief aid and development assistance while working to defend human rights and democratic freedom. It is one of the largest relief and development organizations in post-communist Europe and has administered projects in 37 countries over the past 30 years. From 2009 onwards, PIN has added development programs to its work in Moldova, building a vision and practices that keep people and communities at the canter of our work. Throughout its presence in the country, PIN has been contributing to the development of the following sectors: Sustainable Livelihood and Environment, Social Inclusion and Protection, and Good Governance.
Position Summary:
Based in Chisinau and working under the supervision of the Protection Programme Manager, the Referral Officer (RO) works in close collaboration with the PIN respective teams and partners. S/he is the focal point for all case referrals to partners, local authorities and I/NGOs. The RO promotes the protection and wellbeing of individuals by supporting the identification of cases in need of access to rights and essential services. S/he is responsible of up-to-date and integrated service mapping as well as strengthening both the internal and external referral mechanisms for providing protection and non-protection services. S/he represents PIN in WGs/ coordination meetings with all stakeholders to maintain good relations and effective partnership.
