DVV International is the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V., DVV). DVV represents the interests of the approximately 900 adult education centres (Volkshochschulen, VHS) and their state associations, the largest further education providers in Germany. As the leading professional organisation in the field of adult learning & education (ALE) and development cooperation, DVV International has committed itself to promote the right for lifelong learning worldwide and has been implementing country programmes of development cooperation in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe for more than 50 years. DVV International strengthens national ALE-systems in partner countries and provides support for the establishment and development of sustainable structures for youth and adult education. The project approach of DVV International targets improved conditions in policy, legislation and financing (macro level) as well as promotion of professionalisation in practice and theory of ALE (meso level) and requires cooperation both with government institutions such as ministries and city administrations as well as with civil society organisations, universities, and other educational providers. By supporting our partners (usually, adult education centres), in developing and piloting exemplary concrete learning offers (micro level), especially for disadvantaged population groups, we create best practice and evidence of the benefit of ALE. DVV International finances its work through funds from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Federal Foreign Office, the European Union, etc.

For the implementation of the regional component within its engagement in the Eastern Neighbours region, DVV International is announcing a vacancy for the full-time position of the Public relations and media manager

The position will be based in Chisinau (Moldova), and work closely with the Head of the regional component, project coordinator and project coordinator assistance towards the goals of the project related to high public awareness and participation, ensuring timely and quality implementation of PR activities. She/He will ensure timely coverage of project activities in the media and coordinate the PR-component of the project related to creating a series of webinars and podcasts for Adult Learning and Education (ALE) experts in the project region^[1]. Public relations and media manager will also collaborate closely with implementing partners, trainers, and experts working on the project activities to ensure the outputs are of high quality, disseminated and delivered in a timely manner to the satisfactory extent.

Major responsibilities and duties:

• Developing a visibility strategy and PR implementation plan for the regional component in coordination with the Head of the regional component and Project coordinator;
• Coordination of content creating such as podcasts recordings and initiating dissemination processes;
• Providing for financial reporting within public relations and media work of the project;
• Preparing news items and success stories within the framework of the project;
• Ensuring media coverage of project events, updating news and informational articles within the regional component on the projects' website and social networks of choice, translating articles into English where needed;
• Ensuring that all visibility materials comply with DVV International's visibility guidelines;
• Developing project-related materials as invitations, infographics, posters, banners, etc.;
• Technical and logistical support to the project;
• Other similar duties connected to the successful implementation of the project.

 Qualification requirements:

•  Higher education degree in public relations, social sciences or related field and/or at least 3 years of experience in the field of communication (creating media content, PR-work, journalism and other media and PR related activities);
• Experience in writing news articles and other public relation media outputs. Experience in working with podcasts is an asset;
• Experience in event organisation;
• Good working knowledge of information and communication technologies and other relevant computer and mobile applications;
• Good communication and team working skills;
• Very good knowledge of Russian and English languages;
• Readiness to travel within the country and abroad.
