Position Title: Enumerator (Displacement Tracking Matrix / DTM)
Duty Station: Chisinau, with frequent travels in country
Duration: Three months with possibility of extension

IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Context:
Following the launch of military operations by the Russian Federation across Ukrainian territory on 24 February 2022, substantive flows and displacements across Ukraine and toward neighboring countries have been reported countries in the following days. While air travel has been suspended in Ukraine and Moldova, Ukraine shares land border with four European Union (EU) Member States: Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. Other non-EU countries (3) which share their border with Ukraine include Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation and Belarus. Whilst many are likely travelling to connect with family, many are expected to head directly to the borders and to areas where they believe the conflict is less intense. Many after reuniting with family members, may decide to continue their travel to other destination locations-countries.
Under the direct supervision of the DTM Team Leader/Focal Point, the Enumerator will be responsible of the following activities, according to the procedures and training provided by IOM:

Knowledge of English, Romanian is required. Knowledge of Ukrainian, Russian, other languages in the region an advantage.

A prerequisite for taking up the position is legal residency in the country of the duty station and work permit, as applicable.
