Job Summary:
As the Russian invasion expands in Ukraine, an enormous humanitarian crisis is developing across the country and region. The United Nations (UN) estimates that more than four million Ukrainians will be forced to flee the country if there is no cessation of the invasion, while millions of others will be displaced internally within Ukraine. Neighboring countries are quickly easing entry restrictions and preparing to host large numbers of refugees. Moldova has been welcoming thousands of refugees and migrants, who have a variety of basic needs.
CRS is seeking to hire a Project Manager to manage a cash emergency response. As a member of the CRS Moldova project team, and in close coordination with Caritas Moldova, you will manage the timely and quality implementation of project activities related to CRS Moldova’s cash emergency response, including operational management. You will also perform monitoring and evaluation to ensure quality outcomes of CRS’ and partners’ cash programing. You will also work to build the capacity of the CRS and partner team for the program.
This position is for 6 months, with the opportunity to extend. CRS will also consider consultancy agreements for candidates who prefer this option.

Basic Qualifications
Required Languages – Proficiency in Russian and/or Romanian required. Spoken proficiency in English required.
Travel - Must be willing and able to travel to project sites within Moldova, including to border areas, up to 50%.

Internal: Project team, Chief of Party, Operations Manager, Technical Advisors
External: Regional Coordinator at Caritas Moldova and Diaconia, and other Caritas Moldova and Diaconia staff, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection officials, local government officials, community and Church leaders, UNHCR, working group coordinators
