Tender no 83351312 for the contracting of a short-term expert to strengthen the employability skills of unemployed Roma

The German Development Cooperation through GIZ is looking for an individual expert to provide support in providing soft employability skills trainings to unemployed Roma in the Republic of Moldova (RoM) within the Economic Policy Advice to the Moldovan Government project.

The objective of this assignment is to improve the integration of Roma population into the formal labour market in Drochia city and the district. This should be achieved by increasing the social employability competences of unemployed Roma, registered at the Drochia territorial office of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). For this a training and coaching programme is to be set up.

Expert shall perform the following tasks:

  • Conceptualize training material based on available data and research
  • Provide soft employability skills training to officially registered Roma unemployed
  • Facilitate and actively participate in post-training support to trainees in their initial contacts with potential employers
  • Follow up and comprehensively review trainees’ post-training performance and learning
  • Provide relevant logistic support in organizing training event to achieve the overall objectives of the project

Required qualifications:

  • University degree,
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in targeted trainings, work with audiences,
  • Ability to motivate others, have intense desire to mentor, lead and have problem-solving skills,
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in challenging environments,
  • Excellent knowledge of the Roma community features in the Republic of Moldova represents a significant advantage,
  • Experience in delivering training programmes to Roma represents a strong advantage,
  • Excellent communication, presentation, public speaking skills

Applications shall include:

  • detailed CV and cover letter, explaining the motivation for the position;
  • financial offer, including gross daily rate in MDL and a total amount per up to 15 expert days of assignment, for the period April 2020 – May 2020;

The successful finalist will be issued a short-term consulting contract with the possibility of further extension or follow-on contract conclusion.

Applicants shall be residents of the Republic of Moldova, holding the Moldovan residentship for a period of at least 6 months at the date of application.

Applications shall be delivered in sealed envelopes, showing the tender number (83351312) and subject on it, to the address of GIZ Office Chisinau (66 Bernardazzi St., 5th floor, left wing; Chisinau, MD-2009) not later than 11 March, time 17:00.

 

Shortlisted candidates might be asked for an interview and additional information.

Please note that applications received after the deadline, as well as incomplete applications will not be considered. Financial offers containing other currency than Moldovan Lei, will not be considered. GIZ retains the discretion to re-advertise or cancel this tender.
