IDLO Moldova Seeks a Civil Engineer/Designer for Preparation of Technical Documentation for Repair and Fit-out Works

The International Development Law Organization (IDLO) is an intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law. Established in 1983, IDLO works globally to enable governments and empower people to reform laws and strengthen institutions to promote peace, justice, sustainable development, and economic opportunity. IDLO operates from its Headquarters in Rome, with offices worldwide, including a Country Office in Moldova.

IDLO Moldova is seeking applications from qualified professionals for the position of Consultant (Civil Engineer/Designer) for Preparation of Technical Documentation for Repair and Fit-out Works.

The consultant will support IDLO Moldova in preparing the technical documentation required to launch the procurement process for repair and fit-out works at beneficiary institutions under the project"Advancing Integrity and Transparency for a Modern Justice Sector." Working on the basis of the approved design documentation, the consultant will prepare the Bill of Quantities (BoQ), detailed cost estimates, technical specifications, and any other documentation required for the procurement of works. The consultant will also provide technical support during the procurement process by responding to requests for clarifications and, as needed, during the implementation of the works.

Required qualifications include:

  • University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field;
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering, construction, or preparation of technical documentation for construction or renovation works;
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQs), cost estimates, and procurement documentation for construction or fit-out works;
  • Good knowledge of the construction norms and regulations applicable in the Republic of Moldova;
  • Fluency in Romanian; working knowledge of English is considered an advantage.
