Position Title - Advocacy Officer
Location - Chișinău, with regular travel to project target regions and communities in Moldova.
Contract Period - June 2026 – December 2026, with possibility of extension based on project duration, performance, and funding availability.
1. Background
The Advocacy Officer will contribute to the implementation of a project aimed at enhancing social inclusion, protection systems, access to essential services, community participation, and rights-based support for vulnerable populations in Moldova. The project focuses on marginalized groups, including refugees, Roma communities, youth, women, and people at risk of exclusion, promoting equitable access to rights, services, and opportunities through advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
2. Purpose of the Position
The Advocacy Officer will lead and support advocacy initiatives by promoting inclusive policies, strengthening institutional cooperation, amplifying community voices, and influencing decision-makers to improve access to rights, services, and protection for vulnerable populations.
3. Main Roles and Responsibilities
a) Advocacy Strategy and Policy Development - Develop and implement advocacy strategies and action plans aligned with the project objectives. Identify key advocacy priorities related to social inclusion, education, protection, anti-discrimination, youth participation, community development, and access to public services.
b) Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination - Facilitate dialogue between communities and authorities to strengthen participatory decision-making processes. Organize and coordinate advocacy meetings, roundtables, consultations, working groups, public discussions, and policy dialogues.
c) Represent the project in coordination platforms, thematic working groups, forums, and conferences. Support the development of partnerships and coalitions to advance joint advocacy initiatives.
d) Awareness Raising and Public Communication -Support awareness campaigns and public communication initiatives related to inclusion, afterschool programs in rural zones, social cohesion, and community participation. Contribute to the preparation of advocacy materials, communication content, presentations, and campaign messages. Support media engagement and ensure responsible communication regarding vulnerable communities. Participate in public events, campaigns, and outreach activities promoting project objectives.
e) Contribute to visibility and dissemination activities related to the project.

g) Work closely with project teams to ensure advocacy priorities are integrated into project implementation. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and donor requirements. Contribute to the sustainability and long-term impact of advocacy interventions.
