
DCAF – Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance is dedicated to improving the security of states and their people within a framework of democratic governance, the rule of law, and respect for human rights. DCAF contributes to making peace and development more sustainable by assisting partner states and international actors supporting these states to improve the governance of their security sector through inclusive and participatory reforms. To support implementation of activities under the project “Strengthening Security Sector Governance in Moldova” (SSGM), DCAF is establishing a roster of qualified experts in crisis management to support the implementation of project activities focused on crisis management.
This roster will serve as a pre-qualified pool of specialists who may be mobilised when needed to provide technical expertise, advisory services, operational support, assessments, training, contributing to the implementation of the SSGM project. This initiative also contributes to activities supporting the operationalisation efforts of the National Crisis Management Centre, and aims to strengthen institutional capacities and enhance coordinated crisis management mechanisms at national, regional, and local levels.

OBJECTIVE OF THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The purpose of this call is to identify and pre-qualify experienced professionals with expertise in one or more areas related to crisis management, crisis communication, emergency preparedness, civil protection, and resilience.
The experts might be assigned to support the effective establishment and operational readiness of the National Crisis Management Centre (NCMC) of Moldova, and for specific tasks, might be dispatched to the NCMC for embedded advisory and technical support.

Conditions of engagement
Selected applicants will be included in a roster of experts and may be contracted on an as-needed basis for assignments in Moldova.

Contracts may vary in duration, location, and scope.
Remuneration will be determined based on assignment complexity, qualifications, and applicable organisational policies.
