JOB DESCRIPTION: The Junior Advisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Advising Center located within America House in Chisinau while also actively collaborating in cross regional initiatives such as regional webinars, GSAP, and CCC Congress.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement the Advising Center’s routine work with the support of the Regional Team
- Support the administration of the Competitive College Club (CCC) program and Graduate Student Application Program (GSAP).
- Manage the center’s social media pages and the EducationUSA library.
- Support in organizing special events (educational fairs, webinars, workshops)
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, or guest speaker sessions on various career and college topics, such as college majors, career pathways, job market trends, and professional development opportunities.
- Support program participants in adapting to U.S. culture and society, including organizing cultural events, facilitating discussions on diversity and inclusion, and helping participants connect with CCC and GSAP students and alumni.
- Develop and execute outreach initiatives and report on the work and outcomes of outreach initiatives as requested.
- Other duties as assigned relating to the administrative and programmatic advancement of American Councils Moldova.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-Time 20 hours per week, Six months with possible extension
REPORTS TO: Moldova Executive Director & EducationUSA Regional Lead Adviser (talent manager).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- University student or recent graduate (preferable field of studies International Education, Educational Administration, Communications, or other relevant fields) in good academic standing at his/her current educational institution
- Demonstrated effective financial, organizational, and planning skills.
- Effective communication and representational skills.
- 1-3 years of work or leadership experience
- Social media management; Graphic design skills
- Proficiency in Storytelling/blogging/vlogging
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge and/or interest in U.S. higher education opportunities
- Willingness to travel if required.
- High level of attention to detail
