Centrul de Drept al Avocatilor is looking for qualified persons for Legal Counselor position to support the “Legal assistance to refugees, asylum-seekers and stateless persons in Moldova” projects.

Key areas of accountability
- Assist all persons of concern ensuring timely high-quality protection information, counseling, assistance, and representation at administrative stages of asylum/statelessness procedure.
- Provide legal counselling and assistance in Community Center Ungheni
- Conduct individual/family visits, interviews, and counseling in order to assess in practice the situation of asylum-seekers, refugees, beneficiaries of humanitarian protection and stateless persons.
- Refer persons of concern to relevant state authorities for any type of available assistance and monitor the access to the national social, legal, educational and medical assistance.
- Provide expertise to relevant state stakeholders
Qualifications and skills required:
Academic Qualifications:
- University degree, preferably in international law or human rights law.
- Lawyer license would be considered an advantage
Experience and knowledge:
- Previous work experience in the area would be considered as advantage
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, use of databases
Competencies:
- Good analytical skills and good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under stress and in crisis situations.
- Cultural and gender awareness.
- Fluency in Romanian, Russian and English languages.
- Driver license.
