ORGANIZATION:                 NATO Liaison Office (NLO) in the Republic of Moldova

TITLE :                                       DCB Project Officer

GRADE :                                   Locally Engaged Staff Grade 8

WORKING HOURS:              Full time, 38 hours per week

SALARY:                                  3,396.92€, paid in local currency at fixed conversion rate + applicable        adjustment(s) and allowance(s), subject to local taxation

CONTRACT DURATION:     3 years

  1. SUMMARY

The NATO Liaison Office (NLO) in Moldova is a diplomatic mission that promotes political dialogue and practical cooperation between NATO and the Republic of Moldova; facilitates NATO’s advice and assistance in support of ongoing reforms and joint projects, as requested by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova.

The NATO DCB Package of Moldova was launched in 2015. At the 2022 NATO Summit in Madrid, Allies agreed a package of tailored support measure to strengthen Moldova’s defines, resilience and security capacities, including the enhancement of the DCB Package for Moldova, as the main vehicle for practical cooperation between NATO and Moldova. The Enhanced DCB Package seeks to address the additional requirements identified by Moldova in response to a deteriorating security environment. Further, it aims to support Moldova’s intent to strengthen wider whole-of-government resilience.

The DCB Project Officer’s main tasks and responsibilities are to manage projects and activities pertaining to the NATO DCB Program; support planning and implementation of the DCB package for Moldova; as well as support other assigned defence and security cooperation/capacity building programmes and projects
