CRS in Moldova
CRS has operated in different capacities in Moldova since 2004. Working with local partners, CRS implements an integrated, multisectoral portfolio of humanitarian and development assistance. Since 2022, CRS Moldova, has focused on addressing both the immediate and long-term needs of Ukrainian refugees, through multi-purpose cash assistance, education, accommodation assistance and livelihoods assistance. CRS also collaborates with governmental and non-governmental partners on the Changing the Way We Care initiative to end the placement of children in residential care institutions.
Job Summary
Along with our partners, CRS Moldova works to provide safe, dignified homes for refugees, cash assistance and psychological first aid training to social workers and humanitarian frontline staff. CRS is also working with partners to deliver extra-curricular activities to support refugee children in a nurturing, supportive, and fun environment where they can have the childhood they deserve.
As a key member of the CRS Moldova project team, and in close coordination with local partners, you will play a critical role in in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work to serve conflict-affected Ukrainians in Moldova. As a Senior Project Officer you will lead the achievement of project objectives through coordinating and reporting on all project activities related to livelihoods. You will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and advice to staff and local partner(s) on livelihoods activities. Your coordination and relationship management skills will ensure that the project for which you are responsible applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Basic Qualifications
Required Languages –Spoken proficiency in English and Romanian/Russian required, Ukrainian a plus
Travel Required – 40% travel to project locations around Moldova whenever is needed (transportation is provided by CRS)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
Experience in business consulting and in developing business strategies.
Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
