The Charity Foundation Caritas Moldova is the legal successor of the Religious Catholic Mission Caritas Moldova, headquartered in Chisinau municipality, 7 Sf. Andrei Lane, fiscal code no. 560019, registered under no. 36 on 10 May 1995 by the State Service for Religious Affairs within the Government of the Republic of Moldova. The organization's headquarters is in Chisinau, No 30/1 Gheorghe Asachi Street.
The Charity Foundation Caritas Moldova is one of the 49 members of the Caritas Europa Federation (www.caritas-europa.org) and a member of Caritas Internationalis (www.caritas.org). This global confederation reunites 160 catholic organizations of development, assistance in extreme cases and social service, provided regardless of race, religion, age, sex, occupation or political affiliation.
For 28 years now, Caritas Moldova has been a leading actor in the health and social assistance for people in need in the Republic of Moldova. Our actions and projects have a national scale and target the most affected areas, focusing on medical and social care for vulnerable people.
The main categories of beneficiaries of Caritas Moldova are aged persons with insufficient means for existence, persons with disabilities, incurable patients, children and young people, vulnerable families and one-parent families, socially isolated people, victims of disasters, homeless persons, and other vulnerable categories.
Job Summary:
You ensure a high level of resource stewardship, strict financial accountability and financial risk management while ensuring the effectiveness and robustness of the Country Program (CP) and relevant partners’ financial management systems, processes, and practices in support of high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable. You anticipate and manage financial management services needs and delivery challenges, and identify and implement improvement solutions, as needed, to minimize CP and partners’ exposure to financial risk.
