About HIAS Moldova:

HIAS Moldova is a humanitarian organization dedicated to aiding those affected by displacement. Our mission is to extend support to displaced individuals and vulnerable communities. We are actively seeking a dedicated and proficient Communication and Social Media Consultant to join our team, contributing significantly to our impactful mission.

This is a part time assignment- for a period of one year with possibility of extension.

Position Overview:

In the complex landscape of displaced communities arising from the Ukrainian conflict, effective communication is indispensable. As a Communication consultant at HIAS Moldova & Romania, you will spearhead the development and execution of a communication strategy for both countries, ensuring our endeavors are effectively shared and garner the attention they deserve effectively reaching our target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Communication Planning: Devise and implement a robust communication plan, tailored to address our unique needs and objectives.
• Compelling Content Creation: Craft captivating articles, success stories, and engaging videos that vividly portray our work's impact and relevance.
• Media Engagement: Collaborate with media outlets to amplify our outreach efforts at both local and national levels.
• Synergistic Partnerships: Forge meaningful collaborations with partners, facilitating effective communication and holistic development.
• Social Media Stewardship: Manage our social media channels, crafting and curating content that resonates with our target audience.

Required Skills:

• Graphic Design Mastery: Proficiency in Canva, Photoshop, and other graphic design tools to create visually compelling content.
• Video Editing Expertise: Proficiency in video editing software for producing captivating and engaging visual narratives.
• Photography/Videography Knowledge: Adeptness in photography and photo editing software to weave visual stories that resonate.
• Social Media Acumen: Proven experience in effectively managing and leveraging social media platforms for outreach.
• Email Marketing Proficiency: Familiarity with Mailchimp or similar CRM tools for crafting impactful email campaigns.

Position Details:

• This is a 50% position, designed to maximize impact within the organization and among partners.
