Acted is hiring a Liason Officer

ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) is an international NGO founded in 1993 and headquartered in Paris. Its activities range from emergency relief to development projects. With a team of 5,900 national staff and 400 international staff, ACTED is active in 41 countries and implements more than 500 projects a year, reaching over 20 million beneficiaries. The unprecedented humanitarian disaster faced by the Ukrainians is taking a dramatic turn, and millions of people are displaced in various areas. ACTED helps ensuring they can receive the basic support they need, including water, food and hot meals, blankets, hygiene supplies and access to mobile heating points.

We are currently looking for an Liaison Officer to support our team in Moldova.
Mission
The Liaison Officer supports the country director in his.her relations with nationals and locals public authority. She.He supports her in the planning of meetings and coordinated action. It s also in charge of following up news and press for a better understanding of the context. In specific cases the liaison officer might be requested to assist the country director in more meetings and planification tasks.
Position: Liaison Officer
Location: Chisinau
Starting Date: ASAP
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and improve the relation between Acted Country Directorand the government representatives at all level;
- Contextualize Acted programming by providing a better understanding of the Moldovan landscape, including press related;
- Support the Country Director in coordination and representation efforts;

Organize meetings with relevant stakeholders such as national gvnt representatives, local representatives, CSO etc;

Provide contextualized information to Country Director in order to improve Acted programming;

Through specific research and presentation;

Follow all media in Moldova and potentially about Moldova and provide weekly + adhoc media brief to Country Director;

Support Country Director in representation task such as meeting management, presentation, speech, etc;

Support the Country Director with translation and cultural mediation when necessary.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- MS office especially Outlook and power point
- Languages: Mandatory English, Romanian and Russian, a plus : Ukrainian, Romani
- Understanding of the political and admistrative landscape of Moldova
- Official employment;
