Job Summary:
As the Russian invasion expands in Ukraine, an enormous humanitarian crisis is developing across the country and region. Neighboring countries are quickly easing entry restrictions and preparing to host large numbers of refugees, as cars are lined up for miles on the Ukrainian sides of borders. Recent numbers suggest around 90,000 refugees from Ukraine are in Moldova, among them, approximately half are children. As the school year has begun, refugee children and their parents are facing challenges. In particular, there is a huge need for early childhood programming and kindergarten, as well as support for refugee youth who are by and large attending school online.
As a member of the CRS Moldova project team, you will work with CRS’ International Technical Advisors to strengthen the quality of CRS’ educational programming, with an emphasis on early childhood programming. You will work with the project team and International Technical Advisors to develop modules for early educational programming based on best practices and train, coach, and mentor CRS’ implementing partners to provide quality educational support to refugee children and their Moldovan counterparts. Your experience working in early childhood programming and/or technical expertise with early childhood programming and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.
