The Position:
The Programme Assistant position is located in the UNFPA Moldova Country Office. The Programme Assistant forms part of the SRH team, coordinated by the Programme Analyst on SRH (NOB) and Emergency Coordinator (P4) and works in close collaboration with the Programme Support Team (comprising a Programme Associate and Programme Assistant). The Programme Assistant will provide programme, administrative and financial support to the programme and operations team in design, planning and management of UNFPA’s country programme on SRH. You will report directly to the Programme Analyst on SRH.

Job Purpose:
The Programme Assistant provides programmatic and administrative support to the development and implementation of UNFPA's Country Programme and Humanitarian Response Programme, and isinstrumental in facilitating programme/project implementation by using appropriate mechanisms and systems, and ensuring compliance with established rules, policies and procedures.
You will be a part of team which provides integrated programme and operational support within a systems strengthening approach fundamental to UNFPA’s overall strategy. You will work in close collaboration with the Programme, Operations and Communications staff of Moldova CO, to exchange information and ensure consistent service delivery.
The Programme Assistant contributes to the effective and efficient implementation of UNFPA interventions of the “Improving access to life-saving Health response services for Ukrainian Refugees and host communities" under the humanitarian response. The Programme Asistance will be part of integral SRH 2023 activities focus on: 1) strengthening CEmONC, procurement & endowment of hospital healthcare facilities with modern medical equipment proving assistance in communities where there is a greater concentration of refugees 2) strengthening CEmONC services that comprise Blood Transfusion for Perinatal centers3) strengthening Pre-Hospital Emergency Healthcare Service 3) endowment of Hospital Emergency Departments with needed medical equipment, furniture and supplies needed for providing quality services in the context of Clinical Management of Rap 4) endowment of the Network of Colposcopy Offices with modern devices & IT equipment 5) capacity Building of PHC personnel on Clinical Management of Rape: conducting 12 off-line Training Workshops on Clinical Management of Rape for Primary Healthcare Professionals 6) capacity building of the professionals from the health system on Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care: Trainings ofstaff of Perinatal Centers.
