Background

The Charity Centre for Refugees (CCR) is a Moldovan non-governmental, non-profit, non-religious and apolitical organisation created in November 1999. Its main partners are the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Bureau for Migration and Asylum under the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Moldova.

CCR’s mission is to facilitate the pre-integration of the asylum-seekers and integration of refugees and beneficiaries of humanitarian protection into the Moldovan society by conducting community-based activities, ensuring their self-reliance through employment, and raising awareness about them.

Position overview

Main Responsibilities

• Help with UNHCR Airlift project at Moldexpo
• Participates in the delivery of services (food, clothes, vouchers)
• Contact the local authorities around the country to assess the needs
• Registering of beneficiaries in the databases
• Reporting
• Facilitates the access of refugees and asylum seekers to the national system of social assistance, education, health
• Participates actively in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the Project and related activities
• Executes other provisions given by the Project Coordinator / Executive Director in carrying out the Project and the strategic directions of the organization

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to work without direct supervision, pay attention to details and will exhibit personal commitment, drive for results, efficiency, flexibility, respect for diversity, creative thinking and problem solving.

• Degree in social studies or related fields;
• Experience in the NGO field with a focus on civil society development or emergency programs is an advantage
• Team work
• Computer literate
• Ability to undertake regular field visits;
• Excellent command  command of Russian or Ukrainian. Good command of English. Other languages an advantage

• Managerial skills: Ability to analyze and synthesize, write clear, coherent and correct reports, decision and take responsibility

• Social skills: Assertive communication, teamwork, conflict mediation, interpersonal communication skills, perseverance, negotiation

• Personal qualities: Orientation towards results, commitment to the team, autonomy, initiative, punctuality, flexibility.

• Advantages: driving license, category B

EXPERIENCE :

• Preferably 2 years of professional experience in the requested field or other related fields in local / international organizations or the private sector
• Experience in teamwork, data collection, project planning and reporting
