Project Background:

The USAID Moldova Institutional and Structural Reforms Activity (MISRA) seeks to support Moldova’s economic recovery, advance the Government of Moldova’s economic Action Plan, strengthen public economic governance institutions, improve the trade and investment enabling environment, and accelerate financial sector reforms and inclusiveness.

Overview:

Nathan is looking for a Field Accountant who will support the program, in consultation with the Finance and Administration Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the financial aspects of the Program’s field office operations, including bookkeeping, cost tracking, bank account management, as well as reconciling all accounts on a monthly basis, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Tasks

The Field Accountant will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Provides driving and transportation services for official MISRA trips, including to gather supplies and to transport personnel for official meetings;
• Provides basic security for office personnel while traveling to official meetings;
• Errands as required; and
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Office Manager that are consistent with this Scope of Work and the general requirements of the project.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

N/A

Reporting:

The Driver/Logistics & Security Assistant will report to the Office Manager, with a copy to the Director of Program Operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license

• Three (3) or more years of experience as a professional driver;
• Ability to handle simple tasks, take direction, follow through on instructions for routine tasks and operational issues;
• Outstanding punctuality and reliability;
• Excellent driving record;
• Strong written and verbal Romanian skills;
• Good written and verbal Romanian skills; and
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills and Qualifications (if applicable):

• Some knowledge of USAID projects; and
• Experience working in a professional office in a supportive role.
