As the Russian invasion expands in Ukraine, an enormous humanitarian crisis is developing across the country and region. The United Nations (UN) estimates that more than four million Ukrainians will be forced to flee the country if there is no cessation of the invasion, while millions of others will be displaced internally within Ukraine. Neighboring countries are quickly easing entry restrictions and preparing to host large numbers of refugees, as cars are lined up for miles on the Ukrainian sides of borders.

CRS is hiring for this position for 6 months, with the opportunity to extend. CRS will also consider consultancy agreements for candidates who prefer this option.

CRS is seeking to hire an Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Manager for the emergency response. As a member of the CRS Moldova project team, and in close coordination with Caritas Moldova, you will oversee MEAL activities for Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) emergency response that serves conflict-affected Ukrainians in Moldova. Your MEAL experience will ensure that the project consistently applies adaptive management and best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications
Required Languages – Written and spoken proficiency in English required. Proficiency in Russian and/or Romanian is a plus.
Travel - Must be willing and able to travel within Moldova, including to border areas, up to 50%.
