Senior Accountant (European Entities)

Role Overview:
Safeguard Global is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Team. You will have ownership of various areas of the accounting close process, and opportunities to work closely with our International Accounting team. Through the handling of the daily activities and involvement in the monthly close procedures, this position will provide an excellent opportunity for someone knowledgeable in accounting to support the smooth operation of all accounting matters.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the month-end closing, including journal entry preparation and related analysis of asset, liability, revenue and expense accounts
• Preparation and maintenance of account reconciliations, both balance sheet and P&L, with a resolution of all reconciling items
• Review and analyze corporate general & administrative expenses
• Review monthly expenses/accruals
• Review and reconcile the bank statement
• Provide analytical support in year-end audits as well as preparation of schedules for external auditors

Skills and experience:

• 6+ years of experience in the relevant role
• Experience or exposure of working with multinational business
• Experience with financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Excellent communication skills, including English Language
• Advanced Excel skills
