People in Need (PIN) is a Czech non-governmental organization that provides relief aid and development assistance while working to defend human rights and democratic freedom. It is one of the largest relief and development organizations in post-communist Europe and has administered projects in 37 countries over the past 20 years. From 2009 onwards, PIN has added development programmes to its work in Moldova, building a vision and practices that keep people and communities at the centre of our work. Throughout its presence in the country, PIN has been contributing to the development of following sectors: Sustainable Livelihood and Environment, Social Inclusion and Protection, Good Governance.
The Project Assistant will be part of the project team “Supporting together the vulnerable population affected by the energy crisis”, funded by the European Union and implemented by PIN Moldova, with the involvement of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and local public authorities. The aim of the project is to provide support to vulnerable groups affected by the energy crisis. Project activities are planned for 16 months, during which time elderly people, low-income families and families with many children, people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups will be supported with financial and material aid as needed. Under this project, social service providers and civil society organisations will be selected to receive grants to increase their capacity of providing social services to vulnerable groups.
The Project Assistant will be responsible for specific tasks and activities assigned within an EU-funded project. The assistant will work in close coordination and will be reporting directly to the Project Manager at People in Need Moldova.
