American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative Moldova (ABA ROLI Moldova) is an international organization implementing technical assistance programs on justice sector reform, anticorruption, legal education and gender equality. ABA ROLI is working with public institutions and civil society organizations on promoting justice, economic opportunity and human dignity through the rule of law.

ABA ROLI Moldova is seeking to engage a staff attorney for a fifteen-month period with the possibility of extension. This is a full time position.

Start date: November 1, 2021

Qualifications required for this position include:

1. Fluent in English and Romanian;
2. Master Degree in Law from a fully accredited university;
3. At least 3 years of experience working in criminal justice and human rights or similar areas;
4. Prior experience in managing technical assistance programs is desired;
5. Program monitoring and evaluation knowledge;
6. Strong communication and presentation skills;
7. Strong organizational and computer skills;
8. Team player and resilience;

Responsibilities:

1. Working with ABA ROLI team to develop and implement technical assistance programs;
2. Write narrative for monthly/quarterly reports and work plans;
3. Compile monitoring and evaluation data in accordance with project and donor requirements;
4. Plan, conduct and facilitate program events, liaising with program partners and other stakeholders;
5. Develop regular outreach stories to highlight program activities;
6. Prepare legal analyses, opinions and assessments;
7. Represent ABA/ROLI at meetings with local partners or members of the international community;
