JOB DESCRIPTION: The FLEX Assistant position is responsible for assisting with all administrative aspects of participants recruitment including advertising and publicizing about FLEX Program through all social media platforms and mass media channels, preparing and printing recruitment materials, data collection, participation in recruitment interviews, calling participants and parents, contacting schools and ministries from the country, conduct online sessions, prepare students to the departure in the USA. Besides that, the assistant will promote the program outside the recruitment process.

FLEX is a highly competitive, merit-based scholarship program funded by the U.S. Department of State that operates in Armenia, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Over 35,000 students compete annually in multiple rounds of testing to earn a FLEX scholarship, which provides for them to spend an academic year in the United States living with a volunteer host family and attending a U.S. high school.

FLEX is a program of the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government, administered by the American Councils for International Education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Design promotional materials
• Program recruitment
• Promote program on social media platforms
• Provide administrative and logistical support
• Receive and check program-related application materials, ensure quality control
• Translate internal documents, letters, and other materials upon request
• Pick up and deliver packages, mailings, bills
• Interaction with program alumni
• Prepare students for their departure
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree
• Excellent communication and representational skills
• Flexibility, including availability outside standard working hours
• Responsibility 
• Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Previous experience in working in educational programs will be an advantage
• Strong attention to details
• Strong knowledge in working with Microsoft Excel, Word, PPT
• Ability to use and design in  Canva
• Familiar to work with Adobe Package Products (InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop)
• Fluent in Romanian, English, and Russian
