 About IWPR:

 Founded in 1991 and operating currently in three dozen countries around the world, the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) is an award-winning international media and human rights development network, with charitable status in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

 About the role:

 We are seeking a part-time or full-time Administrative Officer who will assist with IWPR’s operations under the project ‘Building Resilience in the Eastern Neighbourhood (BREN). BREN is an ongoing IWPR initiative focused on providing support to civil society organisations and women’s rights groups in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Moldova. BREN is supported by the UK Government’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF).

 The Administrative Officer will be responsible for providing administrative support to the project at least in two out of the four countries, including maintaining the project’s filing system, keeping directory of sub-awards, agreements, procurement and other documentation. She/he will lead on all administrative and logistical matters related to procurement of services and organising events, such as workshops, conferences, and international study tours, across the designated project countries.

 This is a part-time or a full-time position under the supervision of the BREN Project Manager in Tbilisi, with dotted line of supervision to respective country coordinators, and overall guidance of the BREN Chief of Party.

 Please note, IWPR is seeking applications from individuals in the capitals of all of BREN’s target countries (see IWPR website for applicants based in other BREN countries aside from Armenia). IWPR reserves the right to appoint one or more candidates in a particular location depending on the suitability/availability of candidates; this may also mean that no appointments are made in certain countries.

 The main responsibilities and duties of this role will be:

 Maintain and regularly update project filing system (procurement, agreement, subawards, etc.);
Schedule meetings and prepare notes;
Provide logistical support to Country Coordinators in respective project countries (at least two) in organising events and procurement;
Provide logistical support to Regional MEL Officer in filling out and organising MEL forms and datasets;
Ensure the smooth running of project processes in line with IWPR policies and guidelines. 

To be successful in this role we anticipate that you would have:

 Experience:

Degree level education in a relevant field;
Minimum three years of experience in carrying out administrative tasks in civil society and/or international organisation;
Experience in project coordination in a civil society and/or international organsiation;
Experience in event organisation and management, and procurement.

Knowledge/Skills

Fluency in English and Romanian; command of Russian would be an advantage;
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and knowledge of Excel;
Excellent communication and reporting skills;
Awareness of key challenges related to gender, minorities and peacebuilding in the Eastern partnership region would be an asset.
