In Moldova, SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL has started an essential response in CASH assistance, water, sanitation and hygiene, emergency shelter and food assistance for the refugee and host populations since March 2022. To ensure the smooth running of our activities, we need you!

MISSION

The Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and Shelter Activity Manager is in charge of carrying out and accomplishing the objectives as defined in the operation proposals. They are responsible for the supervision of the operational teams assigned to the WASH and Shelter activities (rehabilitation of latrines and showers, distribution of hygiene kits, etc…). They must ensure that the WASH activities are well executed, deliver quality results and are appropriate, as well as propose adjustments or developments to ensure relevance. 

Starting date: ASAP

Duration:                   3 months, renewable

Duty Station:             Chisinau

Gross Salary:             27,000 MDL per month

List of main tasks:

• Participate in the preparation and implementation of diagnostics 
• Participate in the development of the WASH and Shelter team’s capacity regarding techniques or new methodologies 

• Make sure the objectives for the activities under their responsibility are achieved 
• Plan and supervise the implementation of the WASH and Shelter activities under their responsibility 

• Recruit and manage the technical team under their responsibility
• Manage and support the team
• Write regular reports concerning the progress of the activities under their responsibility 

PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE / REQUIREMENTS

• Technical knowledge in water and sanitation required

• Previous experience with NGO/INGOs valued
• Availability to work full time (estimated 8:30am to 5:30pm) for a minimum of 3 months required
• Language: Romanian, Russian and English. Ukrainian is a plus.
