Call of Papers for EUREM 2016 Conference, November 24 - 25, 2016

The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, is organizing in November 24 - 25, 2016, the international conference “Modern issues of EU’s development and relations between EU and Republic of Moldova”.

Venue: The conference will be held at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, the main higher educational institution specialized in economic studies.

European integration is not only a fundamental priority of domestic and foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova, but also a major force for social cohesion and political.

Moldova's efforts to implement the European values make it an important partner for the EU and a front-runner in the Eastern Partnership.

Objectives of the Conference:

  • to discuss and analyze the results of researchers, public representatives, young scientists, and students on problems of the European integration;
  • to build capacity by disseminating examples of good practice in solving different issues in the European Union;
  •  to critically analyze the so far cooperation between the EU and Moldova in all fields and to point out shortcomings and gaps in this cooperation;
  • to discuss and elaborate ways and means for improving the role of civil society in this cooperation and for establishing a dialogue in this regard between governmental bodies and civil and academic societies in Moldova;
  • ·       to elaborate proposals and recommendations for further development of the EU-Moldova relations.

Target audience: This conference will draw together representatives of EU delegation in Moldova, representatives of Moldova’s Government, most relevant scholars, researchers, experts, students and civil society in this field of interest. We also count on a strong number of participants from the EU and Eastern Partnership countries.

This call is open to papers from all fields of the social sciences, including but not restricted to the following general topics:

  1. Modern stage of European Studies: history and methodology
  2. Tendencies and modern issues of EU’s development;
  3. EU policies – a way to improve the of technological, economic and social competitiveness of the EU;
  4. Republic of Moldova and implementation of Association Agreement with EU: achievements and challenges
  5. DCFTA: challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs
    Author Guidelines: Authors are invited to sent original papers, unpublished before, written in Romanian or English language. The volume of papers: 8-12 pages, including abstract, key-words, content, conclusions and references. Times New Roman 12, 1,5 lines will be used. References will be written in alphabetical order, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 690:2010, IDT.

Publication: All the submitted full papers will be published in the Conference’s proceeding and included in the conference proceedings CD, which will be given to the participants along with other conference materials.
