Traineeships of up to 6 months within the following sections of the EU Delegation to Moldova, starting in June 2023:
The EU Delegation works on the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement with the objectives of political association and economic integration between partners. Following the recommendation by the European Commission and the decision of the European Council in June 2022 on granting candidate status to the Republic of Moldova, provided the country fulfils nine steps, the EU Delegation’s work has been extended to support the Republic of Moldova and report to EU Headquarters on the implementation of the nine steps and the country’s progress in the framework of the 2023 Enlargement Package.
The Political, Press and Information Section closely monitors the country’s progress on the recommendations set forward in this process, and the country’s readiness to adopt and implement EU legislation. The Delegation promotes democratic values, and supports the implementation of key reforms in the field of rule of law and resilient society. The Political, Press and Information Section monitors, analyses and reports political, economic and social developments in the Republic of Moldova. The Section engages with the country’s political actors, authorities, stakeholders and civil society, and promotes EU values, communication and visibility
Main tasks:
Following the Decision of the European Council to grant candidate status to the Republic of Moldova, the EU Delegation’s work has been extended to cover the support of the Republic of Moldova in the implementation of the nine steps and reporting to the European Commission Headquarters on the progress to that end.
Several projects implemented by the EU Delegation focus on supporting Moldova in fulfilling its commitments regarding accession related work and implementing the requirement for accession, fulfilling the “Copenhagen criteria”, including alignment of the EU body of law (the “acquis communautaire”).

Important information to read before applying
Before applying you are requested to examine the dedicated website as well as the general eligibility criteria for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 – Paid traineeship)
Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travels, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.
Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
The traineeships can only be offered in compliance with the local legislation as well as the legislation of the country of origin.

The Delegation informs that even if our Headquarters confirm the eligibility of the selected candidate, traineeships could be postponed, suspended or even cancelled considering the context of the COVID-19 in the host country as well as in the country of origin where applicable.
