Employment type: 4 hours a day, in the morning from 9:00 AM/ 20 hours a week/5 weeks

Location: Chisinau/ Aristotel Lyceum

Target group – 31 high school students 15-17 years old (elementary – pre intermediate levels)

Duration: July 8 – August 6, 2019.



EFL English as a Foreign Language Training Course- 5 week’s intensive English language teaching camp organized within the framework of FLEX program.

 The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) is a US government-sponsored program for secondary school students from countries of the former Soviet Union (Eurasia), but not limited to. This US State Department sponsored program provides scholarship funding for students to travel to the United States, attend a US high school for a full academic year, and live with a US host family. To facilitate this experience, all students undergo an extensive orientation to life in America.

In addition to the usual orientation program, this year the American Councils American Language Center will conduct a month long English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Program for 31 FLEX students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland Serbia, Ukraine to provide these selected participants with an intensive proficiency-oriented English language immersion experience.  The FLEX summer language program aims to create an English immersion environment to provide high school exchange program students with optimal English language learning opportunities, and prepare them for their one-year stay in the United States.


Job Purpose

American Councils for International Education is currently seeking qualified and experienced English instructors 2 candidates for the post of

  1. English Conversation Instructor
  2. English Grammar Instructor

At EFL camp in order to enhance our current English Programme and provide a high standard of teaching to our international students (aged 15- 17 ). The successful candidate will be completely fluent in English and must demonstrate high commitment to the job.


  • Plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate lessons entirely in English for elementary – pre intermediate level
  • Plan and deliver lessons that are inclusive for students with visual and hearing disabilities.
  • Maintain attendance and progress records for students, elaborate weekly reports for each 31 student
  • Check and assess class work and homework
  • Promote and encourage students to speak only English in class and at school, improving their listening and speaking skills.
  • Use teaching materials effectively and share knowledge and experience with the team
  • Consistently monitor programme quality, making improvements, if necessary.


  • English teaching qualification
  • 3 year experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language
  • Availability to work flexibly (mornings sometimes weekends)
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a multicultural team
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, creativity and imagination
  • Passionate about working with young people with special needs and disabilities
  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity and commitment.
