The Association Education for Development (AED) is seeking a Project Coordinator

The project coordinator is responsible for the project “Solar Energy Competence Initiative (SECI), which is implemented by AED and funded by Liechtenstein Development Service (LED).

The main task consists in coordinating working groups of specialists in order to develop blended learning courses on photovoltaics, solar thermal energy and heat pumps. Knowledge about these technologies is not a must. The technical expertise is provided by the working group members or external consultants. The role of the coordinator is to support the working group in designing the courses and developing the course materials as well as supporting the piloting of the courses.

Additionally, the project coordinator will provide general support to the existing AED team. Thus, there will be a broad and interesting field of activities waiting for the new person, who will complement an excellent team.

SECI will start a pilot year in 2019. During 2019, the project will prepare for a 3-year phase.

AED is interested in long-term collaboration.

Scope of work

  • to learn about online learning concepts and tools
  • to study existing online courses, materials and documents on photovoltaics, solar thermal energy and heat pumps together with the working groups
  • to facilitate the work of the working groups
  • to ensure proper documentation of the process and the results
  • to prepare the three-year project application together with the AED management and LED based on the experience of the pilot year
  • to support AED in various tasks


  • Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably in Education or related to Renewable Energy
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Interest and openness to learn new things
  • Experience with online courses is an asset
  • Work experience in the education sector, ideally on the level of VET or College is an asset
  • Experience in project management is an asset
