Adviser on Business Development in ICT/BPO sector

The German Development Cooperation through GIZ is looking for an Adviser on Business Development in ICT/BPO sector within its “Government Advice on Economic Development” Project.

The overall responsibilities provided for this position are as follows:

  • providing support to the implementation partner in attracting and facilitating job-generating investment and business generation within the ICT and BPO sectors;
  • providing advisory support to government representatives in the continuous improvement of the businesses climate and development opportunities for existing and potential investors within the ICT and BPO sectors;
  • providing support to the project partners in securing and promoting existing investments;
  • maintaining a deep sector expertise in the ICT and BPO sectors and wide knowledge of operations and product range in existing companies, as well as potentials and obstacles for future investors.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor and/or Master degree in one of the following fields: Economics, International Relations, Industrial Engineering or a comparable field;
  • at least 4 years of relevant professional working experience, e.g. in a consulting company, public institutions, international development organization or business association; 
  • experience in the field of Investment attraction is an advantage; experience in the field of marketing or sales would be an asset;
  • developed professional network within relevant government and industry stakeholders is advantageous;
  • fluent, written and oral knowledge of English and Romanian;
  • knowledge of one additional language (German, Italian or French) is a plus;
  • willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed;
  • very good working knowledge of standard office software;
  • Moldovan citizenship or holding permanent resident status in Moldova.
