CNFA's Farmer to Farmer Volunteer Program (F2F) funded by USAID is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Accountant/ Office Manager.

The Accountant/Office Manager assists the country director with all administrative and accounting aspects of program implementation.

Qualification requirements include:

  • University degree in Accounting (mandatory requirement);
  • Strong understanding of the specifics of accounting for Moldovan NGOs;
  • At least 5 years of experience working in donor-funded projects, using accounting software other than 1C;
  • Excellent command of English and Romanian;
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills;
  • Flexibility and strong work ethic.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

  • Oversee bank transfers, office accounting, HR related accounting, and procurement procedures;
  • Prepare monthly expense reports to be sent to home office;
  • Manage volunteer and staff travel expenses;
  • Ensure compliance of project expenditures, including personnel costs, administrative expenses, and operating costs with USAID regulations and Moldovan law;
  • Maintain necessary documentation and reporting in accordance with USAID and CNFA guidelines;
  • Coordinate travel logistics for CNFA staff, F2F volunteers, and other visitors.
  • Ensure office is kept clean and in an orderly condition, manage the flow of visitors to office locations, and maintain stock of office supplies and equipment;
  • Other administrative duties as required by the country director.

Given the relatively low number of operations, the Accounting tasks will take up to 40% of the time. The Office Management tasks will take 60% of the employee time.

This position is envisioned as a full-time, however CNFA reserves the right to divide it into part-time positions, in case several individuals fit the job(s) requirements better.
