Health Officer: EU4Moldova Focal Regions Programme
UNICEF Moldova will be the implementing partner of the EU4Moldova: Focal Regions Programme, based on the European Commission Implementing Decision on the Annual Action Programme 2018 in favour of the Republic of Moldova, funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with UNDP.
UNICEF Moldova is looking for a Health Officer, who will oversee the implementation of programme components related to Health and Protection (creches) in both focal regions, will work with Local Public Authorities and support sector specific awareness related activities.
Qualifications and experience:
- An university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health/nutrition, family health, global/international health, health policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, health promotion and social marketing, epidemiology, social sciences, or another relevant technical field. Education in public health related field will be an asset;
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public health/nutrition, planning and management in health, child and adolescent health care, or health emergency/humanitarian preparedness.
- Experience working in coordination and implementation of EU project is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
- Fluency in English and Romanian is required. Knowledge of Russian or one or more additional languages relevant for Moldova, including Bulgarian, Gagauz, Romani, Ukrainian or sign language would be an asset.
