Local Intern to assist in developing and implementing Project activities

Millennium DPI Partners, LLC is an international development firm based in the United States of America, which is implementing the USAID-funded Open Justice Project in Moldova. Open Justice will assist the Government of Moldova to improve the efficiency and transparency of the Moldovan judicial system and improve access to justice for citizens of Moldova.

Millennium DPI Partners, LLC, through the Open Justice Project, will develop a new Integrated Case Management System (ICMS). The ICMS is an electronic tool for the Moldovan courts of law to reduce corruption and promote transparency in the justice system. ICMS will be inter-connected with all relevant governmental data software and will facilitate data exchange between such software’s.

As part of the overall activities, Open Justice aims to provide technical assistance to local stakeholders in redesigning and developing a modern ICMS system to be used by the courts of law. The Project also aims at ensuring that the system is capable of integrating with other e-government systems to facilitate data exchange and is compatible with court reorganization and optimization process.  Open Justice also monitors closely the use of ICMS (random case assignment system) by court users to identify potential abuses and manipulations and works with the Supreme Council of Magistracy and Administration Courts Agency (Ministry of Justice) to implement practices for identifying and investigating possible manipulations of the system.

Millennium DPI Partners, LLC is seeking qualified Moldovan citizens for the position of Local Intern to serve on the Open Justice Project, on a full-time basis, until May 31, 2018.

The tasks, responsibilities and qualifications of the Local Intern are listed below.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to daily implementation of project activities related to implementation of IT solutions in the justice system;
  • Partner with the project team to arrange logistics for events, trainings and visits, including folder staffing, mailings, attendee sign-in list and tracking, and on-site assistance;
  • Keep record of project materials and official documents;
  • Conduct research on subjects related to the Open Justice Project, upon request;
  • Provide assistance in drafting activity reports and support in day by day activities;
  • Provide support in attending meetings and drafting letters, messages, minutes, etc.


  • Recent graduate in the law, telecommunications or/and other related field;
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Familiarity with the activity of Moldovan courts, automated case management system used by Moldovan courts and the audio recording system “Femida” would be an asset;
  • Strong analytical and writing skills;
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Romanian;
  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude, as a part of the project team;
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills;
  • Willingness to take on ad-hoc tasks.
